Attorney Curtin is a 1966 graduate of Fairfield University and a 1969 graduate of the Boston University School of Law. After a period of military service, he joined the Boston law firm of Murphy and Beane where he remained until 1980 when he joined Parker Coulter. He became a General Partner in 1990. Mr. Curtin’s practice has focused on the defense of occupational injury claims in Massachusetts and under the provisions of the Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act. During his first ten years with the firm Mr. Curtin handled all workers’ compensation appeals taken to the Massachusetts Appellate Courts and to the United States Courts of Appeals for the First and Second Circuits. Mr. Curtin is also responsible for the firm’s self-insured administration group which administers corporate entities that self-insure their workers’ compensation programs and general liability programs in Massachusetts and New Hampshire. He is AV rated by Martindale Hubbell.
